An inscription on the back of the piece states that this was drawn while out to sea in 1944. A search with HonorStates.org indicates that Carlyle D. Moore was from Elkhart, IN, and was killed in action. Moore was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.Condition:This piece is in EXCELLENT condition! The frame has very little wear.
