Description: FOSTORIA ~ Early 10" SQUARE CAKE STAND (American Clear, Cube Motif) ~ USA Description of item... Here we have a beautiful early model heavy duty pressed glass SQUARE CAKE STAND with a center *Rum Well by FOSTORIA in the "American Clear" pattern displaying a smooth top with a textured cube motif on the underside as well as all over, scalloped border on the square plate (with a slight lip), round pedestal base. (The *Rum Well ~ a small amount of rum was placed in the well under the cake. The rum would slowly seep into the cake keeping it moist.) It measures approx. 7-1/4" high x 10-1/4" top square x 5-1/2" in base diameter.It is in great maintained (lightly/barely used) condition with no chips or cracks, no damage noted. It is being offered in "as found condition" lightly wiped but not thoroughly cleaned since acquired.Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, pattern discontinued, production run 1915 to 1982. This item weighs approx. 6-1/4 lbs., add 3 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. Payment and shipping...
