Description: Welcome to Pioneer Fossils! A Certificate of Authenticity which has a photo on it of the exact item you purchased, will accompany this specimen. From the Eocene, 52 million years ago. From the sandwich beds of Fossil Lake, this is a fossil Palm frond. A partial piece featuring very nice color variations, measuring about 15.7" in width x 10.6" in height. The plate measures approximately 16" x 11" and weighs 6 lbs. .25 oz. We have given hundreds of partial refunds for combined shipping savings. We will do our best to combine purchases to save shipping costs. In some cases, that is easy, in some cases, not as much. Our items are of vastly different sizes and weights, but we never use shipping as a profit center. We would rather refund the shipping overpayment back to you, and have a happy buyer. We are happy to enclose a COA (Certificate of Authenticity). Some words of caution about COA's: Do not let them become a substitute for learning about the specimens. We have been working with fossils and minerals for many years, and we have seen hundreds of very nice-looking COA's, some that are wrong, mis-describing a specimen. In addition, the person selling the item is often the one who writes the COA (potential conflict of interest). Finally, a COA, without a photo of the exact item on the COA itself, is worthless, as it can later be placed next to any other fossil or mineral. 100% of our COA's include a photo of the exact item you purchased, right on the COA itself, so it can't ever be placed with a wrong item. We suggest that in addition to relying on a COA, that people read and study the subject.*********************************************************************************************************************************IMPORTANT: If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us, and let us make it right, before giving any feedback.
