Magnesium is a macromineral (meaning your body needs large amounts of the mineral) and is necessary to maintain a healthy body. Each and every cell we have needs magnesium in some shape, form, or fashion. Studies have shown magnesium can help relax muscles and decrease cramping by expelling the lactic acid that builds up in the muscles over time or after overuse, like after a hard workout. Studies also suggest that when the body has the correct levels of magnesium, it decreases the occurrences of headaches and migraines. Many anecdotal reports indicate that topical magnesium improves skin health, such as softening and decreasing dry skin. Cracked heel cream: This cream is made with shea butter which is very thick and creamy and is great for improving skin health. I infused hemp oil (which is very moisturizing and full of antioxidants and omegas) and olive oil with moisturizing herbs (licorice, rose, nettle, and marshmallow root). Combined with the magnesium, it really does make your feet softer over time and use. It is a very thick cream so I use it before bed. If you want to put socks on after applying the cream, I think (though I am not conducting clinical studies to support this claim ha!), it makes your feet even softer. 2. Foot Scrub: This is made with a combination of Epsom salts, pink Himalayan sea salt, ground pumice stone, and a little bit of California fine-grain beach sand I have collected from the river that runs through my property. It also contains a dab of Dr. Bronners lavender Castille soap for consistency (and the yummy but light scent of lavender). I also use a few lavender buds I collect and dry from my herb garden to enhance the small (and honestly they just look pretty!); however, I only include a small amount so they don't clog up your tub drain! It only takes a small amount for each foot and I usually use this once or twice a week at the end of my shower. This comes in a 2-ounce container. 3. Cooling magnesium spray: This spray comes in a 2-ounce spray bottle and only has a couple of ingredients, including magnesium chloride and a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil for the cooling effect. I use this in my feet and let it dry before I put on the cracked heel cream. Sometimes I spray it on my legs or arms so this would be a great multi-functional tool in your skincare arsenal, not just or feet! The box comes with a bed of moss on the bottom that the products lay onto op. There is also brown tissue paper and a tiny bit more moss to cover the products and pack them tightly for safe transport in the mail.
