While these early Monos are Great Treasures, they often playback with what we modern music listeners call background "noise" and an occasional click or pop. Our grading evaluations are visual (not playgrade), and examine the record condition as a result of use after it was manufactured. ------------------- THE COVER : EXCELLENT + EX+ :  Please see photos / well-stored with some minor scuffing / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact / no writing, paper loss, paper tears or stains. The Cover Art is the work of John Carlis. We have placed the record and the cover into separate, protective plastic sleeves. Tracklist And  Musicians: Please see the photos in our Gallery.   Dead Wax Run Out Matrix Identifiers (Actual) :   Side A -     (Etched) :   FP 46 - A     DBH      T 3    Plastylite P    Side B -    (Etched) :   FP 46 - B     DBH      T 3    Plastylite P  Please Note :    1)  On both Side A & B, “Plastylite P"  is a reference to the Plastylite Pressing logo.  It appears as a cursive-type, stylized letter P - and appears a bit like this:   ℘ It is sometimes referred to as an "ear". The logo is stamped (not etched). 2)  Also, the mark of the Recording Engineer, David B. Hancock, appears as a box with the letters DBH inside the box.  ---------------- The revival of Folk Music that began in the mid-20th Century ("Contemporary Folk Music") has had a profound and continuing effect on the Development and History of Recorded Music. It came at the same time (early 1950's) that the new innovation in recording technology began its transition to the 33 ⅓ RPM Vinyl "Long Play", and away from its earliest form of 78 RPM shellac. Much of the newer music forms that followed had "roots" in these poetic melodies. The emotions stirred with the tales telling of melancholy, folklore, custom, and cultural identity provide continuity to the lyrical processes of our nation's oral traditions. Stinson Records, Folkways Records and Elektra  were among the standout organizations in the recording and manufacturing of these national treasures.                                                                                             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -      Be sure to check the records section in the Darbyncoates store for other great titles!!             Visit My eBay Store   Add me to your Favorite Sellers   View My Other Items For Sale   View My Feedback SHIPPING:   We pack our records VERY CAREFULLY and will combine shipping for multiple purchases.  Additional records sent through USPS Media Mail are always free.
