Description: My parents often brought back souvenirs of stone items from their travels which they kept in a display shelf in the living room. This treasure was purchased on a trip to British Columbia, Canada in 1972. It measures about 112 mm by 124 mm by 4 mm and it weighs roughly 54 grams. The fly's legs are easy to see, but the wings are there if you look closly. The plastic stand is not included in this sale, but I will be selling them in the future. Contact me if you need one. With his PhD in mineralogy, my father loved to collect rocks. He took great pride in his mineral collection which he carefully organized by chemical groups. Since he recently passed away I'm tasked with finding his treasures a new home. I've pulled from a variety of his drawers and boxes to give a sampling of his collections. I'll be posting more of my father's rock collections (rough material, cut stones, pendants, mineral specimens, and other rock related items) off and on for months so do make my store one of your favorites and check in often to see what new items are listed. I'll gladly combine shipping for purchases made on the same day. If you win more then one auction please request an invoice so I can adjust the shipping costs before you pay. Thanks!
