Description: Fluke 8060A or 8062a Replacement Display (custom, non-Fluke part) I had some Fluke 8060A and 8062A multimeters with bad displays and since there are no replacement LCDs available I designed my own. More details can be found in the hackaday.io project "fluke 8060a custom lcd". This is not a Fluke part, but it is compatible with the original Fluke 8060A or 8062A meter Listing includes one LCD and 3 elastomers of different heights (2.6, 2.7, 2.8mm)I ship these in batches on Monday and Thursday but it may go quicker depending on how many I have to pack The three elastomers are included to help ensure that one will fit... you might still have an issue if the original display carrier is damaged or modified, or if solder has been added to the board pads. The elastomers can be installed with the black/conductive band toward the top of the meter for less tension, or toward the bottom for more tension. This is possible since the display carrier is slightly tilted (see photo), and the black band is stiffer than the pink... the elastomer will compress slightly more if the glass comes into contact with the pink first - when the black band is toward the top of the meter. The blue IBM meter shown in the photos has the 2.6mm height elastomer installed with the black band toward the top. The meters shown in the photos are for demonstration purposes and not included - where there are two meters in one photo, the meter on the left has an original Fluke display, whereas the meter on the right has my custom replacement. The custom display is slightly different than the original:digits are taller and thinner, and the segments start a bit lower to allow for the larger sizecontinuity bar is a bit lower from the top of the display so it's a little easier to see at a glancephysical dimensions of the display glass are the same as the originaldisplay is a reflective type with built-in diffuser (the old external diffuser is not required)there is a plastic protective coating on the LCD that you should remove before installationThe displays work well and I'm happy with the larger digits... they appear brighter with better contrast than my originals. My only complaint is at more extreme viewing angles there's a bit more ghosting than on the original... it's slight, but it's noticeable (the display looks fine while using the meter on my bench).
