With extra extracts from Longfellow, Lowell. , Emerson, and others. Published 1883 copyright 1882. There are 14 chrome lithographs of flowers in the book. There is a tissue paper guard in all, except one of the lithographs. Lithographs are in very good condition. Book cover is worn with scuffing along the front cover of the spine, scratches and worn at the top and bottom of the spine there is a book plate on the inside cover and pencil in the upper left-hand corner. There is an owner’s name in pencil and a stamp and ink on the first end paper. There is also an ink stamp of the authors name on the next end paper. The tissue guard over the lithograph blood root is loose from the book. The tissue garden in front of the lithograph, the Shortia is loose and has holes in it as is the tissue guard in front of the cardinal flower. And the tissue paper and page with the picture of the Marigold is separated from the book except for a little bit at the bottom. The tissue guard from the hemp weed. The climbing hemp weed is missing. There may be other issues with the book that I have overlooked. The lithographs are in good to very good condition.
