From the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, this well-preserved piece dates back to the Ordovician Period and is about 450 million years old! Flexicalymene trilobite fossils are found all over the northern hemisphere, where seas were once full of these molluscs. Flexicalymene is a genus of trilobites of the order Phacopida, suborder Calymenina. You will receive 1 fossil which will be randomly selected and is similar to the fossils pictured. Each trilobite fossil is approximately 60 x 40 x 25mm (2.4 x 1.5 x .1"). The fossil is presented in a lovely black cardboard display box (95 x 95 x 48mm) for display purposes and to keep it safe - it also contains an information label giving a certified description the contents.
