From EZ MAGIC, first issued in the 1940's, and they continued to produce these into the 1960's. This set may be from earlier. but probably from the 1960's -- nylon fishing line is used to string the rabbits between the two brass holder rings. (Pretty sure the nylon line came on the later issues). The four rabbits are heavy felt, and about the size of a poker playing card -- see photo of rabbits next to a card box. (Card deck not included -- just there for scale... but you knew that, right?) The prop is typically used as an add-on production -- after producing a rabbit, you reach into the box again, and pull out her baby rabbits. Or as a gag, pulling them from your coat pocket, saying you accidentally left all four of your rabbits in your suit when you sent it to the cleaners. The rabbits were not only pressed, but they shrunk, too! This set is in excellent condition -- the rabbits used in the routine are in great condition, with only a couple of very minor spots. The instructions have some gouges/tears on the top edge, and the package envelope is very degraded around the bottom and side edge. (I left the envelope in the plastic storage bag for photo, because it is somewhat fragile.) A great example of this nostalgic gag, for both performance and also collecting. PLEASE READ CONDITION NOTES CAREFULLY -- CONDITION NOTES: previously owned, but in very good condition -- rabbits are clean and undamaged, with only one or two very minor spots. Includes original instruction sheet and original package envelope. The original instructions are in good condition, clean and unmarked, but with some gouge/tear at top edge.
