Description: "Fishermen's Safari 1943" is a 49 page, 6.25"x9.5" hardcover written by George Wilcox and published privately circa 1943 by Frank Geisler. It's an account of a fishing trip taken by eight friends (author and publisher included) to the Eighth Pass on the east coast of Mexico, near Padre Island and the city of Matamoros. There are nineteen pages of black-and-white photos. Geisler inscribed and signed the "publisher's note" page. We find absolutely no mention of this book's existence online - the Library of Congress doesn't even have a copy! Probably printed in a micro-edition and given away to friends 80 years ago. Here's a chance to set your angling library apart from the rest! The book is in acceptable condition, with no dust jacket. The cover shows wear at the extremities, a few faint spots and stains. There are small pencil marks to the first page. It's cracked at pages 15 and 23. A moisture stain is visible at the top of all pages at the gutter.
