Description: Offered for sale is a pair of Fisher XP-44B two way 6 inch speakers. They were introduced in 1972 with a price tag of $100/pair. One of the tweeters cone was torn. One speaker kept putting the amp in protection mode, turned out the crossover was bad. Both woofers were in excellent condition with solid foam surrounds. I had a similar Fisher tweeter that was just slightly smaller so I replaced the one with the torn cone. I had a pair of brand new JBL 2 way crossovers so I replaced both crossovers, The cabinets had a few dinged corners so I repaired them with some plastic wood and painted the corners to match the cabinets. The vinyl cabinets had aome surface screatches so I went over them with some fine steel wool and applied somr walnut stain. Both cabinets now look excellent, aren't perfect but they are in well above average condition. Boyh grills are in excellent teat free condition. One of the speaker badges was missin byt I jusy happened to have one so I installed it by gluing it on. Played them and they sounded excellent. The original woofers maintained their low 39 Hz frequency response. There are only two pair of these currently listed on eBay. Both pair appear to be in good condition and are listed as working.
