Fisher 500c tube receiver - Serviced 2016, New Tubes 2023 Working

Description: This vintage Fisher 500c tube receiver is a true gem for any audio enthusiast. With its classic design and sturdy construction, it's sure to impress. The receiver was serviced in 2016 by Blackie Pagano while he was in Brooklyn. He also added an updated power cable to the unit. When I purchased it, it did have the upgraded heat sinks, which is why I do not have a cover on it. It also comes with a new set of tubes in 2023 when I added Telefunken 12Ax7 Ecc 83 Vacuum Tubes to the 14/15/16 tube spots. As you can see, the receiver is in great working order and provides a warm, rich sound that's perfect for any music lover. It can play loud. Notice in the video that there is a hum present when it is tuned up past 6. The hum is slightly worse when the cables are in Phono low vs phono high. This is in the phono in. Putting it on Aux-Tape, it is dead quiet. It is not noticeable with the music, but can be heard in the transitions at +6, which is incredibly loud for this unit. It’s more noticeable with high end headphones, but it is present. A smarter person than me might be able to tweak this. This will be professionally packaged and mailed.
