Description: This is a masterful and Fine Vintage Old Cubist Modern Abstract Woman Portrait Painting, gouache and watercolor on paper, depicting the cubistic portrait of a woman. This work likely dates to the 1950's - 1960's and is an impressive size of 28 1/2 x 49 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 25 1/2 x 46 1/2 inches. This painting was clearly created by a master cubist. It is signed: "B.d." in the lower left corner. This signature may be Russian Cyrillic, and this work may be an example of early Russian Avant-Garde painting, but I am not sure. Personally, this painting evokes the palette and technique of George Braque. Good condition for age, with some light scuffing and edge wear to the original period frame (please see photos.)
