Description: Up for bid is a fine antique Indian silver cosmetic or powder box. The piece is 2 inches tall by 1 5/8 inches in diameter at the foot and weighs 29 grams. The wide slide-on lid has a faceted pointed finial. The body has a reverse taper with a wide flared foot. It has not been monogrammed. It is marked on the bottom as shown. It was full of a red powder when I obtained it. Condition on the piece is good. There are some black spots around the foot edge, both outside and inside. Otherwise there are just normal signs of use. An interesting old box!
