Description: For sale is a good vintage Japanese print of a fine 17th C painting of a plum tree. The subject is entitled “Plum Tree in Red & White blossoms”, originally painted by Korin Ogata (1658-1716). The print is on fine paper, 19 3/4 inches wide by 8 5/8 inches tall, with a gold border. The print is of a large painting with a stylized tree trunk in the center and branches on the sides. The print comes with a paper mat with an attached label from the publisher, probably Fukui Asahido. Condition on the picture is fairly good. The temporary paper mat is a bit crumpled, and the corners of the print are a bit folded and crumpled as well as shown. Still a fine modern print.
