Description: Offered is a very fine estate fresh decorative vase or planter by Faiencerie Thulin of Belgium, circa 1920s or 30s, and marked with shape number 2038 and BELGIUM. It is decorated primarily in blue, and features an acorn and oak leaf motif. Faiencerie Thulin was founded in 1887 in Thulin, near Mons, and lasted until 1971. Its heyday was between the two World Wars, and it became known for drip-glazed wares like this piece, similar to some American art pottery firms. This piece measures about 8 1/2 inches end-to-end and about 4 5/8 inches high. Condition is good overall, with a few pinholes and crazing in the glaze, due to shrinkage in the making. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. All in all a fine example in an attractive suite of colors! Shipping to U.S. locations only. Please see my other auctions for more great items - I'm always happy to combine shipping on multiple wins. Items may be returned within five days of receipt if item is not authentic or substantially differs from the description and pictures. Check out more items at Cliff Nunn Antique Silver. Thanks!
