Description: Tiemco/Fenwick Techna GP TAV-GPV611C MLP+ J 6’11” ML Mod Fast Lure: 1/8-1/2oz Good Condition. The cork is very clean, but the filler is discolored as is typical with age. The metal ring guard at the base of the fighting butt has scratches (see pic #8). There are a couple very small scuffs where the hook keeper is located, and there is a very small split in the clear coat along the front guide foot of the double footed striper guide (see last pic). You have to look closely to notice it and the guide is not compromised. The rest of the blank, guides, and wraps are excellent. This is an older model that was the JDM flagship before the PMX & Super Technas were released. The cork is extremely high quality and it is very comfortable in hand. Casting distance and accuracy are excellent with this rod. As a ML mod-fast rod this can handle pretty much any moving baits in its lure range. My favorite techniques were paddle tails, jerk baits, crank baits, and spinner baits. These rods sold for approximately Y70,000 (w/tax & shipping) so I think this is a great value at this price. You would have a very hard time finding a GP model in this great condition. IMO the JDM Tiemco/Fenwick rods are built at higher performance levels than the USDM Fenwicks I have fished.
