Description: SHADYGREEN GUITAR MODIFICATION ( SGM) pulled out all the stops on this one, taking a Fender Stratocaster solid ash body for the platform and adding a new beautiful mahogany neck with thick maple fretboard and and matching skunk stripe. The neck is 42 at the nut , 25.5 scale and has a wide feel to it, not in a thickness or depth sense but in the playing area across the fretboard referrnced against a standard vintage Fender neck. It's a modern neck for sure and feels fast with super low sweet spot action. It's just a really nice neck. Medium jumbo frets with zero wear and nice fretwork. The neck is new and has been played on one time by me while setting er' up. It's the nicest neck we've ever used as a new mod. This is the fourth guitar we ever made and you will see more necks like this from us for sure. The body is a hand-painted and we used our proprietary Italian tile finish technique to give it atile type texture and perceived grout lines. While no grout was used, the groutlines have texture to them. It's quite unique and all done with paint. The finish is nearly indestructable .The Pickguard is solid wood (Ailanthus) as is the back cover. All the electronics and pots are the high-end large size pots professionally wired. I will give a better accounting of the pickups on an update since actually my power is out right now and I can't run through them and give an explanation of their characteristics, but this guitar, as with all our guitars. have pickup formations that are designed to complement each other but more importantly to give the widest variety of tone possibilities available, but still be able to mesh together enough that you csn switch between them during any given song.or performance, meaning that they aren't so far apart in sound that when you throw the 5 way switch ( which it has)l it should still blend enough with whatever you're doing. They are definitely quite the wide spectrum when it comes to tone and overtone characteristics. The ash body lends this guitar to have more sustain than some other guitars, and it's definitely a full-size, full figured Strat and not lightweight version or Jr. version. I believe it was a mexi strat. of the Strat we put sustain over weight on this one comes with the new black hard shell case with black lining as pictured. Finally, I took the pictures before final clean up so it will be waxed and the fret board wpied down before you get it. ---Note and disclaimers ~~ Watch for more of our guitars by saving us as a seller as we are listing several more guitars, including these and more. 1. 1994 Fender Telecaster that I bought new. Paid for a setup, stuck it in the case, AND NEVER PLAYED IT for 30 years now. No, not even once. I've opened the casde twice so I could remember what the damned thing looks like. That's it. Itd been stirrd at 70% 68% humidity the entire time. New new new condition. I bought that one for an investment. Not to play. It's been 30 year, so it's time to let er' go. 2. SGM Vintage modified Fender Stra with gold (almost 3D) finish hand paint very unique o e of a kind finish. This one is a lot of folks' favorite. 3. Another mystery guitar that Om sure people will help us figure out but it.looks like a PRS prototype ( not casino games it is because I do t know) but the case it cam in is from the 80s and this looks like it's definitely vintage by the aging g of the metal. It also has the same pots that PRS uses. I'd almost say it was a copy.but I don't believe they made many copies of PRSin 1985 because they were just starting out. Listi g soon. 4. Gibson Les Paulyoy will have to wait and see. We are creating a small Facebook group where we can discuss some of this stuff so people can have as many fact as possible and share mod ideas and such. Coming soon. All sales will be through Ebay. No sales on the FB page, just honest discusion. It's OK to disagree for sure, but people being trolls , arrogant or punkish, will not be tolerated. Finally, We describe everything to the very best of our ability, but we are NOT absolute experts on every guitar. Unless we purchase our mod parts directly from the manufacturer, there is always a chance that something slips by our watchful eyes.. It is very rare and to be clear everything we build and describe is what we say it is but if it's a direct from the manufacturer acquisition we will state as such, and that is the only way we can be 100% certain that any given part is truly authentic. We've learned enough to catch nearly all repo's but I'm just keeping it real that I today's market and with new manufacturing techniques, it's getting g harder to tell. Finally, real vs fake vs, reproduction v sclone. This is our definitions of those four categories real that is self-explanatory, fake any guitar that is being passed off as something that it's not oftentimes made in China and sold in the states by unscrupulous music stores selling them is real, reproduction an honest representation of a reissue guitar or a guitar that is usually manufactured by the same manufacturer but if not is marketed as a reproduction and not as an actual guitar of that make. Finally a clone the Clone to us is any part or guitar that has been manufactured to the exact same specifications as the original with the same quality standards the same QC same materials same design same process so for all intents and purposes is the exact same as the original while we're not condoning this practice reality is it's a fact in today's market and there's mixed emotions as to what that means some people say it's a straight-up rip off others say it's a way to keep companies like Gibson and others rain in there prices a little bit who's quality control by the way over the last few years has said to be faltering so in my humble opinion there is an upside to clones as long as they're marketed honestly and purchased legally if that's possible all right we'll keep them coming out for you as best we can please save us as a seller on eBay I'm getting alert when they first come out we have some surprises and some Mysteries headed your way and thank you for taking the time to read all this nonsense Shadygreen Guitar Modification
