Description: 1959 Custom Shop Journeyman Telecaster Aged Candy Tangerine I bought this beauty several years ago to soften the blow of being separated from my main guitar. It was having a major overhaul that was going to take a couple of years. I'm very fortunate to have access to just about everything out there. After a maddening search through the entire New, Used and Vintage market, I settled on this. It is 100% Original with no modifications whatsoever. This is in my opinion, the best combination of vintage and modern features. The finish is beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. The checking is authentic and subtle. I've owned several AVRI models from the last run that spanned from 2012-2015. Those are exceptional guitars. But, the finishes were too brittle in my opinion and chipped off prematurely. These Custom Shop finishes aren't like that. It does wear, but nothing like the ones I just mentioned. Its very lightweight. And at 7.1 lbs. this thing rips. John Thurston (an absolutely outstanding and recently retired Luthier) gave this guitar a full service which included fine tuning the already excellent fretwork. It needs nothing and is like new but has an incredibly soft, lived in and vintage feel. It's ready to tour and/or hit the studio. The original tweed case is included and is in mint condition.
