Description: Squier "Silver Series" made in Japan 1992. Great guitars that leave the Fender Japanese standards for dead. The Silver Series were Squier's brief but glorious return to Japanese manufacturing, having moved production to Korea in the late 80s. They were made at the always-excellent Fujigen factory to a very high standard and enjoy an excellent reputation to this day. George Harrison used them. The early L, M serial guitars have fine basswood bodies, high quality necks and Gotoh tuners and really are impressive. Plays flawlessly with a nice low, even action and there is no problem with the electrics. 5 way selector has been replaced with US Standard and the jack with Swithcraft. Maple fretboard is in good condition, with a little cool mojo ware and is as good as some much more expensive models. Very little fretware. The body is in good condition with only scratching and no major marks. It has plenty of vintage mojo in the looks department (neck has aged a light bronze)and plays real nice. Very well made to last a lifetime. Japanese quality. Lots of strat tone it rocks and sounds great overdriven/ distorted and has a fantastic acoustic like quality clean. Gotoh tuners and vintage style ST single coil pickups that sound pretty good. Intonation is spot on and it will have new strings and be well set u7. Pickup and inspection at Point Frederick ( 1 hour from Sydney) or I will courier/ post Australia wide for what it costs well wrapped and boxed with optional insurance. International shipping is available to mainland USA and Western Europe on request. CHEERS
