The new American Vintage II series brings back the original "American Vintage Reissue (AVRI)" of old with improved upon pickup design, more accurate neck shapes, and other period-correct specs. A lot of us here at the shop grew up lusting after those guitars and we're glad to finally get these into our hands years later. The acquisition of Fender by CBS was polarizing for many, but as vintage Fender enthusiasts, we can't help but be drawn to some of the totally rad features of that era of Fender guitars. This Jazzy has the classic '60s look, but adds some very classy touches not usually seen on most guitars from the big F - pearl block inlays, a sleek matching headstock and a bound fingerboard! These are awesome aesthetic additions on this guitar especially, as they really serve to put the "Jazz" in "Jazzmaster". The Pure Vintage '66 pickups just sound fantastic. All of the classic JM jangle is there in spades, and these single-coils take things a step further than the ones found on Strats and Teles and can really get roaring through an overdriven amp.
