Fender JV Modified '50s HSS STRATOCASTER made in Japan at their infamous FujiGen Factory, that's considered where some of the best Fender Guitars were built in the '80s. Taking inspiration from the sought after "Japanese Vintage Reissue" Stratocasters from the early '80s, it has a resonant Basswood Body with a classic Fender vintage 2-color gloss Sunburst (or what I'd call TobacoBurst) finish. Features a pair of vintage-voiced single-coil Fender Pickups in the Middle & Neck positions, with the "modified" part being it has a Humbucker at the Bridge position rather than a traditional Single-Coil. This Stratocaster delivers the classic Superstrat formula by combining iconic Stratocaster single-coil tones with epic lead tones from the Bridge Humbucker. It creates tones not possible on vintage and/or modern all 3 single-coil Strats with the high output only a Humbucker can provide, combined with the unparalleled tonal range of a classic Stratocaster. And it has a "Push/Pull Tone Pot" that allows the Humbucker to be split, so it gets classic single-coil Bridge Pickup Strat tones also. *Note that this originally had a "Zebra" (cream & black) Humbucker. I felt the Zebra Humbucker didn't go at all with the Guitar and looked totally out of place. See LAST picture of the original Guitar. I felt the Humbucker should be the same color as the 2 single-coils Pickups, so I replaced it with an all-White Fender Humbucker I had. It metered at 8.4 resistance and sounds just as good as the original Zebra. Like the original, it's also a 5-wire Humbucker and is connected to the Push/Pull Tone Pot, so it also splits.Has a vintage-style synchronized Tremolo Bridge with Fender/Fender stamped bent-steel saddles, a large/heavy Tremolo-Block and 5-position Switch. The original 50s style single-ply White Pickguard was replaced with a 4-ply Tortoiseshell Pickguard for a more colorful, interesting look.The Satin Honey finished Maple Neck has an extremely comfortable Thick-Soft "V" profile, with a 21 medium/jumbo Fret Maple Fretboard. 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, 1.65" nut-width and has a BONE NUT! V-profile Necks are perfect for "thumb over the fretboard" playing, ALA JIMI HENDRIX STYLE. Back of the Neck has been buffed and is silky-smooth & fast! As with the entire Guitar, the Frets are perfectly mint! Has Vintage-Style Inline "LOCKING TUNERS", that lock by tightening the slot on the Tuner shafts (see example picture with a screwdriver).The Thick-Soft V Neck profile in my opinion is one of the most comfortable playing Fender Neck ever! Incredible feel and fantastic playability! Restrung with a new set of quality D'Addario 10-46 Strings (the Brand most Pros use & the only Strings I use), that are better quality than the original Fender Strings. A complete set-up was also done. I can't say enough about what an absolutely wonderful playing & sounding Strat this is! I'm sure you'll agree. And having a split-coil Humbucker is a major plus, making this model Fender HSS Stratocaster extremely versatile for any style Music! Tremolo Arm (Whammy Bar) pictured is included. I consider Guitars to be "playable Art", with the playability of the Neck & Set-Up of course being key. I'm not a professional Luthier, but well above an amateur & I'm "extremely meticulous"! If you're looking for this type of Guitar, think about if other Sellers work on Guitars (most don't) and know how to set them up. Is the Neck straight, Truss-Rod functional, Fretboard clean? Are the Frets worn, oxidized needing cleaned & polished, or have dead frets that requires the frets to be leveled? Will the Strings be rusty & dead, needing a new set? And if it's a used Guitar, I'm sure you've found they usually arrive dusty and require a major clean! Not this one! Also, will other Seller's description be as thorough as mine? Remember that you get what you pay for!This being said, I must also note: The Neck is perfectly straight, set up with low action and plays great, but I can't predict how you like your Guitar set up, so be advised that adjustments or a set-up to your preference "may" be required. And if you can't do it yourself, the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Also note that Guitars are made of Wood, and when in transit to you, temperature changes and/or Delivery Service Handling can affect my initial set-up, that again, may require adjustments on your end.
