Description: As shown in the first photo, the Favosite is about 4 3/4” long with a diameter of about 3 1/4" at the base and about 2 3/8" at the top. It will sit upright on the base. The weight of the stone is about 2 pounds, 7 ounce. All photos were taken outdoors and the entire stone is shown. This stone is a great example of a favosite which is commonly called a Charlevoix Stone. This stone was found in the Petoskey area of Michigan; Charlevoix is about 17 miles from Petoskey. If you have any specific request for natural or polished Petoskey or Charlevoix Stones please send me a message. I do not use anything to enhance the color or anything else regarding my stones. They are collected and left natural or are ground and polished. I have been asked what I use to polish my stones; the answer is Fabulustre.
