NCS Product SynopsisUpdate: February 14, 2004«©NCSX» To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Famicom console which throned Nintendo as king of video games back in the day, a Famicom GBA SP variant and ten classic Famicom games are re-released for the GBA in the early part of 2004. Back in 1984, an Eskimo-like character named Popo sought to recover his precious vegetables in a mountain. As the story goes, a brown-colored condor has stolen his eggplant, carrots, and other crops and has flown all the way up an icy mountain. The only way Popo can retrieve the veggies is by knocking blocks out of mountain platforms and then jumping up upon those platforms to scale the mountain gradually. Popo is armed with a dual-purpose mallet which destroys bits of rocky platforms and hammers little snowbird creatures which roam the mountain in search of eskimo fodder. When Popo destroys a good chunk of a platform, the little snowbirds rush offscreen and return with little ice blocks to fill the crevices. A total of 32 colorful mountains are included in the game for the scaling. The middle portion of every mountain features a little bonus game where Popo is charged with gathering up a bunch of vegetables within a certain amount of time.
