These things never came “sealed” when they were available through retail way back when. For what it’s worth, I have a fully upgraded Pip-Boy with the radio module. It works well and picks up my preferred local stations really well, but you don’t get a ton of run time on batteries. I’d say I’d have to swap fresh batteries every 10 days of daily use in the morning (20-30 mins in the morning while I get ready for my day job).
