Description: This gorgeous vintage French charm bracelet features 12 historically relevant /very French charms on a 7 inch oval link bracelet with a box clasp. Nine of the charms have various colored stones of some sort and I cannot say if the stones are original - I suspect some have been replaced through the years. I also don't know if any of the stones are gemstones, but I believe they are all glass or crystal. The bracelet is a goldtone metal - and I don't know what type of metal, and also don't know if the bracelet is gold plated or just colored. It comes with a gift box (see photo). I don't know the exact age of this bracelet, but I believe it is over 50 years old just based on the metal (heavier than more contemporary charm bracelets) and the type of charms (more popular pre-1950s). The charms are as follows: 2 small charms of men in military uniforms - Could not identify them, but believe they are some kind of historically significant French commanders.2 charms with a jade/turquoise (likely faux) stone and small rhinestone - Can barely make out a woman to the side in a long robe. I think this may be a Catholic reference - Our Holy Lady of Lourdes.2 round "Tree of Life"/ stylized Fleur de lis charms, each with 4 stones.1 "Crown"? charm with 7 stones( 2 sceptors with 3 stones each?); center stone is faux turquoise.1 "NDL" charm, a Catholic symbol for Our Holy Lady of Lourdes.1 Royal Crowned Salamander charm - the official symbol of King Francis I of France (this particular charm mold appears to date back to the early 1900s).3 French Fleur de Lis charms, each with one stone. The bracelet is in very good vintage condition. The goldtone in the bracelet is still bright but worn in some spots (see photos). The links are all solid and intact. The clasp works. The charms all securely attached to bracelet - none are loose. The glass/crystal stones are vivid in color; none are missing or loose. See photos for more details.
