Description: FABULOUS CHINESE QING DYNASTY ALTAR NEEDLEPOINT 7' 10" PEACOCK SILK TAPESTRY C-1880 We have the privilege to offer you this absolutely beautiful large 7' 10" x 38 1/2" Chinese Qing Dynasty Altar needlepoint silk tapestry from the 1880 period with beautiful lace and needlepoint work forming a peacock in the center. Having beautiful black leaf lace work around the outer edge, the 7" 10" height is with the top blue piece with white lace work folding down and is not counting that piece. In amazingly beautiful bright condition for its age, it need to be cleaned, also having some minor smudging on the back as the photos show. The full panel 7'10" x 38 1/2" is in remarkable beautiful tight condition. The top blue piece which is to fold over is the only part which has some issues. The white lace on that top piece has some fraying, as the photos show and on the back side has a small loss to the material. This is a beautiful all hand done piece of art for your pleasure.
