Description: Up for sale is a very rare Durham Display Emblem from Durham Classics Automotive Miniatures. I have not been able to find a single recorded sale of this item. I believe they were given out sparingly by the owners of the company to individuals who had played an important role in the toy model car industry. In this example, the box for this particular emblem is signed on the back “To Ed, from Margaret & Julian April 18th 93.” (Margaret and Julian Stewart being the founders and proprietors of Durham Classics). I believe in this case, the “Ed” the signing is addressed to, is Ed Hohberger, the original master creator for many of the Brooklin Model designs (I am not sure if he also did Durham Classics masters).Given the provenance here, this is a great piece to add to any Durham Classics car collection! This emblem is in excellent as new condition. The box is in very good condition showing very minor storage wear. Please check all pictures for best idea of condition and use them to determine overall quality.I can combine items to save on shipping.Shipping to Canada and US by tracked postal service. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me. Thanks for looking.
