Description: A Catalog of An Exhibition of Wood-Block Prints by the Yoshida Family. 1953, exhibition catalog for a group show put on by the Yoshida Studio of Tokyo and held at the Japan Society in New York City. The front and rear cover each have a color woodblock print - one by Toshi Yoshida and the other by his brother Hodaka. Softcover, staplebound wraps, pages double-leaved. 9.5 x 6.5 inches. 17 pp., with a family photo, 2 page introduction, and list of over 300 prints that were exhibited. A majority of the prints were done by Hiroshi Yoshida, who died in 1950. The rest of them were by Toshi, Hodaka, Chizuko, Kobun and Fujio Yoshida. Very Good condition: strong binding; clean and unmarked contents; light soiling to the rear cover; soft crease to the upper corner throughout is barely noticeable; otherwise only minor signs of age and use. Very rare on the market and in institutions. OCLC locates only 21 copies.
