Edward Plateau Chert, Excellent Condition. This point is also known as Delia Notched Base Point, which was found near Delia, Limestone County, Texas. This Montell Point is finely thinned and well made. Montell is like the Pedernales Point with the basal corners making the main difference. The Montell has square basal corners while the Pedernales Point has rounded basal corners. The Reference is Prehistoric Artifacts of the Texas Indians, D R Davis Jr (1991, pp 132-133).
