The original glass inkwell is expertly hand-cut lead crystal, with brass collar. Unmarked, as best I can tell. Maker unknown. This unusually large inkwell measures 2 3/4" by 2 3/4" and stands 3 3/4" tall. Brass holder measures 9" by 9" and stands 2 1/4" tall. Extremely heavy, weighing over 4 pounds, before packing. Inkwell displays beautifully, with absolutely no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, stains, hidden damage, or repairs. Metal is unpolished, with original warm patina.
