The building in the foreground is the Excelsior Amusement Park Dancing Pavilion. This had a gigantic hardwood dance floor. A small tid-bit about this pavilion: The Rolling Stones played here in the early 1960's before they became so popular. They didn't bring in a very big crowd. Mick Jagger was feeling kind of down after the show and was talking to a guy in town named "Jimmy" at a restaurant. Jagger wanted a certain flavor of soda and they didn't have it, but Jimmy told him that you can't always get what you want but sometimes you get what you need. This inspired Jagger to write this song and it turned out to be a huge hit for them! One of their classics!
