Description: Here's a Super Nice TLR Camera introduced in the late 1970's--- A Yashica Mat 124G or is it 124-G--- pretty much the last model they made. I used one of these back in the 1980's and it was a GREAT camera--- it took fabulous photos---- as good as a Rolleiflex only Not as quirky and temperamental. And I can tell you this one is a Real Beauty and it works very well, with a couple small issues. Cosmetically, it's in Beautiful Condition---- just very faint signs of use--- pretty much 98% Mint--- No blemishes worth making a fuss over. Mechanically.... the shutter works well--- it fires crisply at all speeds, except the 1/2 and 1 second seem a touch slower and sometimes the 1 second sticks. (but maybe it will loosen up with some exercise). The shooting/taking lens (bottom) looks to be in Excellent condition---- clean and very clear with brilliant coatings. Just a small blemish at the rear that is off to the outer edge and a couple tiny specs of dust inside, but they won't affect anything--- really No Worries in all practicality. The viewing lens (top) has some noticeable fungus, but it can't be seen while looking through the viewfinder--- the view looks fine and naturally, that has Nothing to do with the images shot! There's also some dust on the mirror inside, but looking in, I can't see that either, even when using the viewfinder magnifyer---- AND that won't affect photos either. The aperture looks great--- no oil & working properly, and the focus and winding is smooth as butter. Alas, the light meter doesn't seem to work--- maybe it needs a stronger battery than the one I have or it's just dead from age. Inside the film chamber it's clean, so it looks ready to go. The leather case has a few scuffs and a small tear by the hinge but it should still be fine for a long time. So in all Practicality--- it's functional and usable, but I have not tested it beyond what I describe and what is shown in the photos--- and the shutter speeds have not been calibrated/bench tested, although I did run a dummy roll through it to test the winding and cocking mechanisms (it works fine). So I can't say it's 100% like-new condition, but it's quite nice with some minor flaws, and is still good to shoot pictures with--- it should still be reliably usable above 1/2 second. So there it is--- no mystery, what you see is what you'll get--- please examine the photos. Continental US Shipping will be $13.50. It will be packed well and safe--- a sturdy box with lots of padding and tape. International Shipping via the ebay program. PLEASE READ THIS--- By Buying this, you also Agree with this: Reality check.... I am not Amazon or a professional Store seller or a camera technician--- just a camera collector and collector of various other things selling a surplus of Used items. I'm not here trying to rip anybody off or sneak one past you--- no mystery... I'm not one to say "untested, sold As Is." But that said... I'm not into having things go back and forth based on Opinion, Inflated Expectations or risk "part swapping" either. So it's being sold As Is, No Warranty, No Buyer's Remorse, No Try-outs, No Returns--- Sold as a Vintage Used collectible, that is Not in 100% new condition with some minor flaws and aspects that are less than perfect. It's not new, so don't expect it to be and you'll be happy with it. I've been shooting for 35+ years, so I know how cameras work and what to look for. But this is a 40+ year old camera, and whereas I try to be detailed and truthful, I can't describe every millimeter of it, so there may be a nick or blemish or a couple specs of dust that I failed to mention... and sometimes I miss something... so please don't be unreasonable.
