Description: Pictured is an early blue & white stenciled Wildflower hanging salt container offered for sale. It is decorated with four (4) Wildflower designs, two on the front side & one each, much larger, on the sides. It measures 6 1/2" in overall height, 6" in base diameter, & dates from 1905 - 1925. It's in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs. The interior base has inmanufacture fire glaze lines. Sharp, crisp stenciling, great eye-appeal. Note: The salt is without its original wooden hinged cover. Typically, as a matter of time, salt corroded, rusted away the hinges & the wooden cover was discarded.
