Belt Like stripes are sewn / embroidered onto the back side edges to keep edges from curling. Floral Design . Red Background The rug is in excellent condition with medium pile and low pile at side edges as shown. Ends have been secured as shown. It has been soak washed multiple times, last on 9/5/22 by a textile conservator and is clean enough to touch face with. Cotton foundation ( warp and weft ) and wool pile.
