Description: Exact Replica: The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour Bus Sign 61 X 20” / Read-to-Hang In September 1996, I purchased from Sotheby’s London a section of the original artwork from The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour Bus. The hand colored “MAGICAL” sign was ‘removed’ from the left side of the bus by a fan. Written in pencil on the reverse "I Linda Guest (word crossed out) this was off the side of the Beatles Coach when they were making the film Magical Mystery Tour in the '60's. They stayed at the Atlantic Hotel, Newquay, where we saw the coach. They also filmed at Watergate Bay and in a field near there.” Together with the 'Sgt. Pepper' drum skin, this is one of several items of artwork created for a Beatles project that must be recognized the world over. A highly evocative piece, its survival is a remarkable piece of luck. Before this super rare sign was framed, I did a high resolution scan, which I used to create an exact replica, custom printed on canvas and ready-to-hang. It looks absolutely stunning.
