Description: Evans Black Astrakin Winter Trench Overcoat. Condition is "Pre-owned". This is a vintage Astrakin winter overcoat. It has been stored in garment bag after dry cleaning. The Center button is missing from this coat, and I hope to find that in my sewing box. The interior coat has a small maker stamp behind the lining that reads “Astra Furs”. The coat tag, bears the label “EVANS. CHICAGO PARIS MILAN.” Both side pockets need a quick mend so they can be of functional use. This material has a particular patented process to make the outer shell appear embroidered in a random array or as curly lamb wool. The collar appears to be mink, and I have no evidence proving it is or showing otherwise. This jacket is fully lined with a satin liner. The sleeves have an inner lining as well as an additional hemmed cuff, presumably so cold air doesn’t travel up the length of the sleeve, or so that longer gloves could also be worn comfortably at length without having to make adjustments at the cuff.
