This is to be used with Etch-O-Matic Electrochemical marking system (it may work with other electrochemical marking systems ) The General Purpose Electrolyte is primary formulated to mark on ferrous materials. It may be used to make a less than optimum mark on other metals. The electrolyte is the conductive medium from the marker to the conductive material you are marking.
