Description: Estes Der V-3 #1970 Clone Kit 2.6" dia. 2 feet tall. "E" powered version. This is an auction for a clone kit of the Estes classic kit "Der V-3" This kit always fascinated me because it is the only other Estes kit that has the comic-German decals like Der Red Max kit. This is a big rocket. Built from a BT-80 tube and Executioner nosecone this rocket stands 2 feet tall when complete. In the words of Han Solo, "I made some special modifications myself." This rocket is upgraded to an "E" motor mount from the original "C" motor design and comes with a Kevlar shock cord. You will need to add your own parachute (18" to 24" plastic chute will do). Kit includes nosecone, body tube, motor tube, engine block, motor clip, laser-cut balsa fins laser-cut plywood centering rings Kevlar shock cord, self-adhesive decals and instructions. The completed rocket is for illustration and is not included. The decals are black on clear - the white stripes are painted. This rocket has been successfully built and flown on an E9-4 and flies great! Please note: the color of body tube in your kit may vary based on availability.
