Not when this is the only one on the Internet.!🚨 I understand completely how rare balsa kits are when they are vintage and how hard they are to find so please don’t even try me with a lowball offer because I’m likely to just block you This is a rare vintage Estes 5004 space shuttle balsa kit, manufactured in 1995. The kit includes the original box, owners manual, and is totally complete. The model is a balsa wood glider and has been painted. It is a beginner level kit and has a skill level of 1. The item measures 4 inches in length, 13 inches in height, and 1.5 inches in width. It weighs 12 grams and is made in the United States. This kit is perfect for anyone interested in spacecraft or rockets and is a great addition to any collection. This is an extremely rare popular brand Estes space shuttle, but this particular model I could not find anywhere on the Internet and I searched high and low. They possibly made this for a very, very limited time or a limited edition . I don’t know, but this is the only one that is on the Internet right now. So I think starting this at 400 would be a very fair starting price and I hope the true collectors find this because this potentially could sell for up to a couple thousand dollars, no joke. it could even go higher. Rarities that are in a collectors market are worth an enormous amount of money. The box is in really good condition for its age. It does have a little bit of patina as you can see in the photos and please look at the photos very very carefully. it’s not absolutely perfect mint condition, but it’s in very good condition for its age. Also, the manual was in good condition and simply not completely in the photo so it looks all bent up, but it is actually folded just like that and I did not want to straighten it out completely. On the package it says contains complete building and flying instructions. And then it says modeling, knife, pins and adhesive must be purchased separately. And I am pretty sure this company is still in business today, but this came from Estes industries/West Wing. 1295 H St., Penrose, CO 81240. Made proudly in the USA, which is so rare these days. He does have a barcode which I was able to scan and it has a (7/95) which leads me to believe this was made in August of 1995 but I could be wrong, if you know anything about this, please message me because I would be very interested to learn more and this is just such a unique piece of history. I don’t know how much of you realize how delicate Balsawood actually is, but it is incredibly delicate and for it to be in perfect condition after all of these years and preserved so well by a collector it is literally a treasure so before you bitch about the price, go try to find one that is cheaper and then you will see what I’m talking about.
