The ring is set with 1 NATURAL RED RUBY that weighs 7.89 CARATS and the weight is engraved in the shank. This ruby is a FACETED, FAT OVAL shape measuring 14.54 x 12.36 mm with the bezel setting and it is 5.48 mm deep. This ruby has been heat treated and clarity enhanced, otherwise a ruby of this size without any treatments would not be attainable or prohibitively expensive. The ring's HALO is set with 23 OLD MINE CUT DIAMONDS that are each bezel-set with an additional 6 old mine cut diamonds set in the shoulders. All of these diamonds are of I - J color, SI to I clarity that weigh approx. .72 ctw. The head of the ring measures 3/4” north to south by almost 11’16” across.
