The size 6-1/4 wedding style ring tapers in width from 5.48mm top center down to 5.46mm at the shoulders, down to 2.30mm bottom center. It has a center four-corner-prong setting containing one princess cut diamond. The diamond is laser inscribed IGI 32446737. It has IGI certificate of authenticity (C.O.A.) #32446737 dated 10/12/2005. It lists the diamond as measuring 4.39mm X 4.33mm X 3.27mm in length, width and depth (I measured 4.38mm X 4.30mm X 3.30mm in length, width and approximate depth- not exact due to the mounting), and it is listed as weighing 0.51ct. (confirmed by formula). It is listed as VS(2) in clarity and near colorless (G) in color; I concur with both and observed no fluorescence. It is listed as having good polish and good symmetry and I concur with both. Each shoulder has an inner princess cut natural pink sapphire bezel set on point (they are assumed to be heat treated- common practice in sapphire). The 2 pink sapphires measure 3.00mm square by 2.04-2.08mm and they are estimated to weigh 0.18-0.19ct. each, totaling 0.37ct. They are both eye clean and medium, slightly grayish, slightly to strongly purplish-Red (purplish-pink) in color. Each shoulder has an outer millegrain edged row of 5 common bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, totaling 10. They measure 1.90-2.10mm in diameter and they are estimated to weigh 0.03ct. each. They are SI2-I1 in clarity and they appear to be G-H in color. Total estimated diamond weight is 0.81ct. Total estimated gemstone weight is 1.18ct. The gold is estimated to weigh 3.58 pennyweights. The ring was cast, assembled and handset with a bright polished finish. Each side of each shoulder has an engraved-look design.
