Description: Description: This spectacular limited edition collection of Erte graphics, produced in 1988, is hand-signed and distinguished by the 8" x 7" "Rigoletto" bronze bas relief mounted on its front cover. The 14" x 11" book is bound in black Saderre Cropon leather and stamped in gold. The bas relief is presented for wall display if desired, removable from the setting and prepared with a wire hanger. This is #98 in an edition of 375 (plus proofs.) It is custom slip-covered in a wrapped 15-1/2 x 12" box and incised with the artist's signature and edition number. "Rigoletto" was inspired by the costume design for opera singer Ganna Walska as Gilda in a 1920 production of Rigoletto. Published by Chalk & Vermillion Fine Arts. Condition Statement: This extraordinary work is in near-mint condition and is presented in its original protective bag. There is a small contact scratch on the leather of the front panel of the book itself and a small flaw in the bronze bas relief. Please refer to photos for more detail and forward any questions prior to purchase. About the Artist: ERTE (1892 - 1990) was born Romain de Tirtoff in imperial St. Petersburg, Russia.
