Description: Estate fresh, single owner and measures 19.5" x 23.5" framed. No holes or issues that I can see at all. Ernest Frederick Meyer was born in Rothenberg, Germany in 1863. Meyer studied under American painters William Merritt Chase, John Henry Twachtman, James Carroll Beckwith, Frank Vincent DuMond, and Charles Henry Turner.He lived almost his entire life in New York City, although he was known to have a primary residence in Tylerville, Connecticut in 1929. He is best known as a landscape painter.He was a member of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and the Salmagundi Club. Ernest Meyer exhibited at the Salmagundi Club, a National Academy of Design 1895 1901, 1902, 1904, 1906, the Brooklyn Art Association 1935, and a Boston Art Club 1901.
