Description: This rare vintage mandolin was crafted in Japan at the Matsumoku factory in April 1981, and not one of the cheaper newer ones made in Korea or China. It features the Epiphone brand which at the time was a product of Gibson. It is a model MM-50 F-style serial number 80880 as indicated on the paper label inside. Comes with all the original warranty paperwork. This instrument is in excellent condition with the iconic F-hole spruce top, mahogany back and sides, sunburst finish, original tuners, pick guard, chrome tailpiece, rosewood adjustable bridge, 30-fret fingerboard with dot inlays. The binding has darkened with age. It has low action, no buzzing, no cracks, no scratches or cosmetic issues. Needs new strings. Comes with plush hardshell case with key that has some exterior tape repair. Please see pictures for details. Item will be safely and securely packed and shipped promptly. Thank you!
