Description: Wonderful 1996 full length from Epic Soundtracks (aka Kevin Godfrey). The former Swell Maps member (also a part time member of Jacobites with his brother Nikki Sudden, Crime & The City Solution and These Immortal Souls) surprised me with his solo music. Not that I didn't expect to love it, I just wasn't expecting the beautiful Bacharach meets Big Star style songwriting that went straight to the heart. There's some gorgeous songs here (and on all his solo albums). The Big Star / Alex Chilton reference becomes even more on the nose with the bonus track on this, a medley of Nighttime (from Sister Lovers) and Thirteen. Anyway, condition is above. Enjoy!
