Description: Hello, What I am listing Is a great photo of the B-29 " Enola Gay" taken on the Island of Tinian after the bombing of Hiroshima. It Is actually autographed by the Navigator of the Enola Gay on August 6 1945, " Dutch" Van Kirk and Navigator of the Enola Gay on August 9 1945 Russell Gackenbach when the plane was flown as the advance weather B29 to Kokura, Japan which was the primary target for August 9th. I was their "agent" for book and photo signings when we did road trips. There Is a strip of paper over the photo to prevent copying.Photo size Is 8 x 10. The photograph was reproduced from an original color Kodachrome Slide taken by 509th Composite Group Member Ken Eidnes. You are purchasing from an Historian who researched 509th Composite Group photos for 25 years. Most photos being sold were "unearthed" by me. I have sold to collectors, historians and dealers. All my photo work was done by a professional street level brick and mortar photo lab. All our photos are sharp, clear as good as originals or better. If you like this photo I suggest you bid. You will not find It elsewhere autographed by both Navigators. Please note the quality of this photograph. We sell quality which will give you a good return on your Investment should you have to sell. The autographs on the photo are real, actual and obtained by me. This Is not a scan, reprint, copy or forgery. If you want to read and learn more about the 509th you can purchase a copy of our book "The 509th Remembered" on our site of the same name.
