Description: Enchantment Band Once Upon A Dream KJLH Radio Award Photo Listen to the Kat This photo is trimmed to 7 1/2" x 8 7/8" This photo documents an award being given to the R&B band Enchantment in approximately 1978 from the Los Angeles Area radio station, KJLH/FM. The plaque reads "Thanks for Making Us #1". Carol King is the woman pictured in the bottom row. Provenance: This photo came from the estate of Carol King, formerly Carol Kaufman. Ms. King began her career as a model, then went to work at a Los Angeles area radio station KLJH, where her job was to meet and greet the bands that were appearing on the radio shows. She went on to become a music promoter for several record labels, including Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox. In the course of her work, she was professionally photographed both individually and with bands, musicians and other celebrities. We will be listing photos from her extensive collection in the coming weeks, so please check back/follow our store for more. She was one of the first female promoters to work in the industry at the time. Almost all of the autographed photos we will be listing here were inscribed to her "Carol. She collected news articles about herself that describe her journey, and we will be listing these as well. We do not have certificates of authenticity for any of the autographs or other photos.
