They are adorned with gorgeous purple and blue enamel in the iris flower and beautiful green leaves. The iris was a favorite image of the Art Nouveau period with its nature inspired curvilinear lines and flowing elegance. The locket has further iris leaf motifs engraved on the silver front. The reverse of the locket is engraved with the maker's mark AML and 925 for Sterling Silver. The locket opens to reveal places for two photos or your treasured keepsakes. The Art Nouveau enamel jewels are of the highest quality with absolutely exquisite design - this one is so very special. The locket dates to the Art Nouveau period, circa 1890-1910.
